Driving instuctors
-come and join us, we will put you in touch with your nearest local association, usually one that is closest to your practical driving test centre. Nothing like knowing all about the tricky places on your local test routes.
We are all individuals, but being part of an ADI group is really rewarding. Not only will you learn more about yout job, but you will also get lots of information that you and your pupils will benefit from.
Those who wish to remain more independent, come and join us as an ‘Individual Member’ and received all the help that you would possibly need.

VISIT CARDINGTON:
SEE HOW THE DRIVING EXAMINERS ARE TRAINED
Instructors, have you visited the DVSA Examiners’ Training Centre at Cardington, Bedfordshire ? Our next trip is 2022 (Subject to Covid-19)
The tour commences at 1 pm so you will need to arrive by 12.30 pm. The cost is expected to be about £25.00p – DVSA fee. Car sharing in operation.
It always amazes me that ADIs will pay £75 – £100 for a day’s seminar, but when given the opportunity to go and learn from the people who are training the examiners to do the job, they don’t grasp the opportunity to look, listen and learn from the real experts.

At what age should you stop driving?
As you become a little older, you may experience moments when you begin to wonder if you are implementing the latest and newest highway code rules correctly. If so, contact one of our members who lives in your area. Perhaps have a short refresher run to put things into practice.
The latest highway code rules came into force on 29 January 2022.
If you feel confident, continue to drive. No age limit.
Getting about when you are older makes life more difficult and not as pleasant as it used to be. However, having a car helps you to travel to places off the beaten track, or just helps you to visit friends and family.
Looking out for Y O U !
Another year of helping pupils pass the driving test.
What is the main aim for 2021? To improve the standard of driving by starting at the grassroots and making all new pupils much better drivers when they apply for the driving test; this will improve road safety in the long term and reduce the waiting period for tests in the short term.
This will be the main aim of the North West Federation, we hope it is your aim too!
Look at your pass rate for 2020 and see if you can make it 10% better by the end of 2021.
Best wishes from Terry and Salma -always here if you need help. Guy our training officer ans help with any Standards Check problems.
Again! Welcome to the North West Federation
